The toll bridge and our dinner venue in Bath

This is a privately owned toll bridge and the charge is 50p to cross but free to walk… luckily we were walking to dinner to the restaurant on the other side.  As the guy at our accommodation gave Peter the directions he had forgotten by the time we started off on our walk to get there so fronted up at another restaurant which may have been the one but no reservation there so onward we went.  This photo was actually taken the next day as I didn’t have my camera but the water level of the river was over the top of the fence in front of the bridge.  The restaurant’s  outdoor eating area was about 3 feet underwater as was part of their carpark with people having to go and move their cars during the evening as the water was still rising.  It was interesting to see how much the water had actually receded over night.
