FW: Our trip begins

Well we are on our way. All I can say is WOW WOW WOW!! The ship is great
and better than any cruise ship we have been on so far. even better than the
Sun Princess we went on last week which is supposed to be the equivalent as
far as star ratings go. I would put it at least one star better. Our cabin
is fantastic and I doubt I will leave the cabin much at all as it is very
peaceful sitting on our lounge looking out our balcony at the water rushing
past. Our last night at home we both only got about 3 hours sleep so vowed
that we would have an early night but we were lured into the magical beauty
of Sydney harbour at night. We had dinner at our allotted table of 8 people
at our allotted time of 8.30pm which is the second sitting. There ended up
being only us and another couple who are not drinking alcohol, not eating
sweets, not eating bread or potatoes for lent! They are cruising back to
London as they live half the year in Sydney and the other half in London.
We ended up watching the sail away from Sydney from our balcony at 1am as it
was such a balmy night out - just perfect really, and eventually retired to
bed around 2am. so much for an early night! We ordered room service for
our breakfast and woke to a much cooler and angrier day. No rain just very
windy and not as warm. We did manage 3 laps of the deck under extreme
conditions. Tonight is formal night and a cocktail party with the Captain
which should be interesting. Peter asked me to iron his formal shirt which
I did of course but me and ironing don't really go together because the iron
starting shooting out sparks and black smoke so that put an end to that!!
We are relaxing now with a bottle of champagne with Peter doing the Sudoko
(with difficulty!) and me doing this blog. Tomorrow we are in Melbourne
where we have no set plans at this stage. Hope everyone is well back in
