Well the wind factor was rated as a force 6 when we woke this morning so still quite strong with most of the outside upper decks closed. As the day progressed the sea has become smooth and the wind has dropped to a pleasant breeze. Forecast for Fremantle tomorrow is sunny, 26 degs with force 3 winds… sounds perfect. So far today I have been to the gym for an aerobic workout followed by a stretch session. After this I went to my art class then at midday we went to a movie “My Afternoon with Margueritte”. Quite a good movie, subtitled and starring Gerard Depardieu. Then it was a late lunch followed by a talk on Rolf Harris which was interesting followed by a talk on how to take the optimum photo. The rest of the afternoon we have been sitting on our balcony reading as we pass Albany. Tonight is another semi-formal night. Still very happy with the ship but the food could be better. Most of the staff on this ship are Indians in comparison to Aussie ships who are mostly Philippino. They seem to be more serious and generally quieter. Not a lot of options in shops as they don’t seem to have daily specials as they do on the Aus ships which is good because it removes that distraction. The perfume is very cheap and much cheaper than Strawberrynet. The spirits are also very cheap with a 1litre bottle of gin costing 10 pound and a 1 litre bottle of Jack Daniels costing 14 pound. We were lucky we got in early as apparently all the aussies have bought out all stock of all alcohol which will be restocked in Singapore. We are being picked up by some friends in Fremantle who will show us the local sites including going to the Swan Valley wine tasting and for lunch. I think I was born to cruise!! Just loving it but missing everyone back home. Love to all. xo
