We started the day with our usual breakfast in our room… too hot on the balcony as now we are heading up the west coast we are getting the morning sun. The only recognition so far of St Pat’s day is the green shamrocks decorating our daily Horizon newsletter. No real excitement or celebrating or dressing up which seems to be the norm on this ship so far… someone said today it is the age bracket but I am not convinced of that! I went off to my usual art class which was fun. I then followed this by going to the gym and a stretch session which I followed with lunch and a 15min back and neck massage which was being offered to woman (for 15 pounds) as a special for Mother’s Day which is this Sunday in the UK so I am told. I did venture up to the tennis but that deck was still closed due to the wind which was a shame because I planned to run off the hot chips I had with my lunch… oh well another couple of stair to climb tonight. Talking about stairs the young couple at our dinner table.. the fit and good looking ones… Deb runs 10 flights of stairs 10 times every morning… there are actually two flights per floor so that is really 20 flights of stairs…. It seems to be working for her!! Tonight we have a Celtic show so I might make the effort if it is not cancelled again. Love to all and bye for now. By the way it just showed on the tv that we are about half way up the WA coast. Hopefully we will miss the cyclone that is reported to be brewing somewhere around Port Hedland (wherever that is… up north somewhere). xo
