To all our faithful blog followers we have some exciting news!! We were married by the Captain, Ian Walters on the Arcadia on the 30th March at 3.30pm in the middle of the Indian Ocean. Yes it is a legal marriage and yes it was prearranged before we left. It was very intimate and a perfect day. After the ceremony we had champagne with the Captain then went on a tour around the ship for photos with the ship’s photographer before going to the Ocean Grill (the specialty seafood restaurant) for dinner. We have kept it very quiet on the ship and have not even told our six other dinner companions. Peter has blabbed a few times telling the odd person we are on our honeymoon and we have just got married!! He would like to put a sign on our cabin door but I have banned that. No-one puts signs on doors on this ship which is in contrast to the Aussie ships where you see signs for birthdays, marriages, anniversaries, divorce etc all adorned with balloons and streamers!! We had a wedding cake which Peter particularly wanted which we have now eaten half of. We still have a bottle of champagne to celebrate which we will leave to later in the cruise. We organised the rings before we left as mine had to be made. We haven’t seen the official photos yet but I will include some photos that were taken with my camera. I know it has been a long time coming but its finally happened!!
Love to all….
Mr and Mrs Phillis!! xoxo
