Durban - some facts

Situated on the east coast of Kwazulu-Natal, one of the nine provinces of South Africa.

Home to approximately one million people including Asians, Africans and Europeans.

Currency is the South African Rand and US dollars can be used in some stores.

Discovered by Vasco da Gama on Christmas Day in 1497 while he was discovering the sea route to India.

The land is very fertile and ideal for growing lots of species of trees and flowers.

Has a huge amount of different birds and attracts a huge amount of game life with over 70 game and nature reserves.

Not a place I need to visit again.
