Dune 7 is 3 miles east of the town and on the road to the airport. At 163 metres high this is the highest sand dune in the local area and after a scramble to the top you can try skiing or boarding down. Apparently you are advised not to run down as your foot can become snagged and you can then break a leg or fall flat on your face!!
